Terms of Service
These terms govern museum-journey.com and anything you book through it. We wrote them to be read: a short summary first, then one subject per section. By booking a tour or sending a form you agree to them.
At a glance
- You book through a payment link or a request form. This site never receives or stores your card details.
- A place is confirmed when payment completes, or when we confirm by email.
- Cancel at least 24 hours before the start for a full refund of the tour fee.
- If we cancel, you choose: a refund or another date.
- Prices are US dollars per person; museum and fair tickets are extra unless the tour page says otherwise.
- Questions about refunds or these terms: write to us — email address at the end of the page.
Effective from October 14, 2026
Definitions
So there is no ambiguity below:
- Museum Journey, we, our — the person and business operating museum-journey.com and running the tours.
- Tour — a guided visit listed on the site: gallery, museum, art fair, or an international trip.
- Service — a tour, or art advisory, art design, and corporate art work.
- Booking — your request and our acceptance of one or more places on a tour.
- Tour page — the page at museum-journey.com/tour/… describing one tour: price, dates, duration, what is included.
- You — whoever uses the site or makes a booking, including where someone else pays.
Who we are
Museum Journey runs guided art tours in New York City and provides art advisory, art design, and corporate art services. We are independent: we are not a museum, and we do not act for or speak for the galleries and museums we visit. Where a tour takes place inside a venue, that venue's rules and ticket terms apply to you as well as ours.
Using this site
Browse it, book, and write to us. Please do not:
- give false details in a form — that is how we reach you;
- try to reach the admin area or the database without permission;
- bulk-download (scrape) the site's content, or reuse it to train a third-party service, without permission;
- load the site with automated requests or work around the protection on the forms — it exists so other visitors' enquiries get through.
If an address abuses the forms we may limit access from it. That protects other visitors, and it is not aimed at you personally.
Booking and confirmation
A booking has three steps: you open the payment link on the tour page, or send a request for a private date; the payment is taken by our payment provider, not by us; a place is confirmed once payment completes, or once we confirm in writing.
| What you do | What happens |
|---|---|
| Open the payment link | You move to the payment provider's secure page. We never see or store your card details. |
| Payment completes | Your place is confirmed, and we email you the meeting details. |
| Send the request form | We reply, usually within 2 working days. No place is held until it is confirmed. |
| Receive our email | That email is the record of what was booked: date, time, places, and price. |
Booking for other people means you confirm you may act for them and that you have shown them these terms and the venue's rules.
Prices and what is included
Prices are in US dollars per person unless the tour page says otherwise. Museum, fair, and other admission tickets are paid separately unless the tour page states they are included. Any extra cost you should know about in advance is listed on the tour page before you pay.
Prices can change. The price that applies to you is the one shown when you paid.
Schedule, group size, availability
Dates, times, duration, and group size are shown on the tour page. They are maintained by hand and can change, and a “seats left” figure is an indication rather than a guarantee. Times are New York local time (US Eastern) unless the tour page says otherwise.
If anything changes we tell booked participants by the email or phone given at booking.
Cancellations and refunds
To cancel or move a booking, write to the email address at the end of this page. In short:
| What happened | What happens to the money |
|---|---|
| You cancel at least 24 hours before the start | Full refund of the tour fee. |
| You cancel inside 24 hours, or do not arrive | Generally no refund. Write to us anyway and where we can, we will move you to another date. |
| We cancel the tour (for example the group did not form) | A full refund, or another date — your choice. |
| A venue closes or changes its hours unexpectedly | We move the tour or refund in full. |
| You miss the tour because of illness, a visa, or a delayed flight | This counts as your cancellation, so the 24-hour rule applies. |
Museum and fair tickets are refundable only under that venue's own rules. Refunds go back to the method you paid with, usually within 5–10 working days.
During the tour
Tours are on foot and cover a few kilometres. Tell us in advance if you need a route with fewer steps or somewhere to sit.
Venue rules apply to everyone: do not touch artworks, no flash or tripods where prohibited, keep the group quiet. We may end a person's participation without a refund where behaviour disrupts the group, is unsafe, or breaks venue rules.
Your material and ours
The texts, tour descriptions, and images on this site belong to Museum Journey. Photographs you take on a tour stay yours — share them, crediting the tour. Commercial use of our material needs written permission.
If you send us ideas, references, or images for advisory work, you keep the rights; you give us permission to use them to do the work.
Third-party services
The site links to our payment provider (GoDaddy Payments) and to messaging and social services (WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube). Once you follow a link, that service's terms apply, and we do not control or answer for them.
If these rules are broken
We start by telling you what happened. We may then pause or refuse a booking. In serious cases — fraud, abuse, or a safety risk — we stop working with you. Where money was paid and we cancel, it is refunded.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the price of the tour you paid for. We are not responsible for decisions taken by venues (closure, changed opening hours), for third-party payment or email services, for lost or damaged belongings, or for indirect loss.
Nothing here limits a liability that cannot be limited by law, such as harm caused by our own negligence.
Changes to these terms
A new version is published on this page and applies from the date shown. Bookings already confirmed keep the version in force when they were paid.
Disputes and governing law
Write to us first: most problems are settled in email. If we cannot settle it, these terms are governed by the law of the State of New York, USA, and disputes are heard by the courts of New York City. Where the law allows, you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
How to reach us
Write to the address at the end of this page. See also the Privacy Policy for what data we hold and how to have it removed.
